We are looking for an energetic rockstar candidate who would love to join our expanding special events team in Rochester NY. The main focus of this position is to work within the performance talent sector of Sound Express Entertainment. Shifts may vary depending on the size and scale of the event. The growth progression for this role includes greater involvement and responsibilities leading to management.
Skills and Knowledge You Should Possess
You must be available to work Friday and Saturday nights, often scheduled a month in advance
Outgoing personality with excellent people skills and a genuine interest in event planning and live entertainment
DJ: Experience as a disc jockey in radio, club, or mobile settings
MC: Experience hosting weddings, socials, or corporate events
Dancer: Experience with modern and contemporary hip hop performance
Technical Crew: Audio Visual and Lighting Technician
What We Are Looking For

Skills and Knowledge You Should Possess
Audio: Ability to set up and operate sound equipment for ceremony services and corporate presentations
Audio: Experience with small and large band setups, mixing, and mic placement
Video: Experience with live production switchers
Video: Experience with setting up and operating video systems including projection screens, projectors, and LED displays
Lighting: Experience with club or theatrical lighting
Lighting: Experience with automated fixtures and intelligent lighting consoles including DMX programming
Lighting: LED dance floor setup, teardown, and operation
Office Staff: Event Coordinator and Office Administrator

Position: Event Coordinator and Office Administrator Reporting To: General Manager and President Location: Webster NY
Tasks Include
Schedule meetings via email and telephone with guests and vendors
Provide excellent guest service while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Finalize event notes and prepare appropriate documentation for event teams
Follow up and correspond with vendors and event crew
Answer incoming phone calls and provide detailed messages
Attend weekly office wide event meetings and planning sessions
Skills and Qualifications
Ability to multitask, meet cascading deadlines, and stay organized
Event experience is not required but is highly welcomed
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Photoshop is a plus)
Above average communication and phone skills
Team player with the ability to adapt to a fast paced environment
Ability to draft professional documents and write professional emails
Language Skills: This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in the workplace.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Mac and or PC including Word, Pages, Excel, Numbers, PowerPoint, and Keynote. Photoshop skills are not required but are highly welcomed and appreciated.
Work Hours and Environment: Our office team conducts business Monday through Friday with hours totaling approximately 30 to 35 hours per week. While performing day to day tasks this position does require frequent sitting and time in front of a computer screen and will require occasional off site local errands. Office culture is a positive and fun environment. Business semi professional attire is required. No suit or tie required.
